Malloy - An Experimental Language for Data
In this video, the author walks through a new programming language for data analysis: Malloy. The author points out that due to historical design, we manage data in “rectangles” such as SQL tables or OLAP cubes. He makes the point that data isn’t rectangular, it’s hierarchical (order has products, products have prices, etc.). He built Malloy to make data analysis easier and more aligned with how we think of data objects.

This has nothing to do with Collaborative Intelligence, but I recommend it. The authors criticize senior leaders for engaging in what they term “performance hacking,” which they define as “the practice of giving the appearance of effective leadership by delivering on particular metrics, without delivering real performance.”
